Montereau celebrated volunteer week this April with a luncheon to honor our residents who volunteer at Montereau and in the Tulsa community. This year we recognized Pete Leininger and Marie Detwiler as our volunteers of the year for all of their great work. Pete volunteers at the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma, Grissom Elementary, McClure Elementary with Reading Partners, Meals on Wheels, LIFE Senior Services as well as being involved in several committees at Montereau. Marie is a dedicated volunteer for the Health Centers who delivers mail to all areas of the Health Center and also recruits and trains other volunteers to deliver mail.
Montereau has 161 residents who are involved in volunteer activities. Many of them give their time to better the Montereau community by assisting with activities, delivering mail in the health centers, leading recycling programs, presenting programs to our residents and much more. Our residents also make a huge impact on the Tulsa community through volunteering at several organizations including the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma, Saint Francis Hospital, Meals on Wheels, Grissom Elementary, Reading Partners, Memorial High School, LIFE Senior Services, Tulsa Boys Home and Xavier Medical Clinic.
Thank you to all of the volunteers who help improve our community!
